CMS publishes 2018 “Quality of Resident Care” Scores
General Medicine – The Post Hospitalist Company Scores Excellent Quality Results by CMS for Patient Care of Residents in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Facilities.
As of October 31, 2018, all Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Facilities Nationwide received their initial “Quality of Resident Care” Measurement Scores in CMS’ Nursing Home Compare website.
All facilities are now being measured as to how they perform 28 specific care elements on residents as directed by their physicians. There are two main categories, “Short-Stay and Long-Stay Resident Care” and results for every element are now published. These results are also now key factors in determining a facility’s overall Star rating by CMS.
Here at General Medicine we are proud to announce that 83% of all of the Facilities Nationwide serviced by our group have achieved the highest rankings CMS has given out which are 4 and 5-Star Facility Rankings, .
These new quality measurement tools created by CMS were developed and initiated to give consumers a guide to identifying which Skilled Nursing Facilities provide the highest quality of care for all of their residents.
